Put the star rating above the product title, not below the price
The rating and review count sit above the title, so the first thing a shopper reads is that others bought and rated this, before any claim.

What it is
The star rating and review count sit directly above the product title in the buy box, so the first thing a shopper reads on the page is that other people have bought this and rated it, before any brand claim.
Why it works
Trust is the gate on every product-page decision, and establishing it before the claims means the claims land on a shopper who is already inclined to believe them. A rating buried under the price is read after the shopper has already decided whether to keep going. A rating above the title is read first.
How to test it
- Hypothesis
- Moving the rating above the product title will lift add-to-cart rate, because social proof is established before the shopper evaluates the product.
- Primary metric
- Add-to-cart rate (product page sessions)
- Guardrail metric
- Review-widget engagement, to confirm the rating still leads shoppers into the reviews rather than replacing them
