A full reviews section with a rating distribution
The reviews block leads with the total count, average stars and a 5-to-1-star distribution histogram, then a summary of what customers say and the reviews.

What it is
The reviews section leads with the total review count and average star rating beside a distribution histogram (how many 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 star), followed by a short summary of what customers say and the individual reviews with a Write a Review call to action.
Why it works
The distribution bars let a skeptic see the shape of opinion at a glance, not just an average, and a large honest count with a visible spread reads as more credible than a lone 4.8, which builds trust before the shopper reads a single review.
How to test it
- Hypothesis
- Leading the reviews section with a count and a rating distribution will lift add-to-cart rate by making the social proof more credible and scannable.
- Primary metric
- Add-to-cart rate (product page sessions)
- Guardrail metric
- Reviews-section scroll depth and engagement
