Connect, meet Slack.
The cazyweb app for Slack keeps your team and ours in one conversation: link any Slack channel to a cazyweb Connect channel and messages, files and reactions flow both ways. Project updates and reports arrive where your team already works.
Free to install. Works on free and paid Slack plans.
One conversation, two apps.
cazyweb runs client work in Connect, our comms app. Your team lives in Slack. The integration means neither side has to move.
Two-way channel sync
Link a Connect channel to a Slack channel and messages flow in both directions, posted with the original author's name so conversations read naturally on either side.
Notifications where you already work
Task updates, mentions and report summaries from the cazyweb platform can be delivered straight into Slack, so nobody has to keep a second tab open to stay in the loop.
Built for client workspaces
Every client or partner workspace connects its own Slack. Tokens and channels are scoped per workspace, so nothing ever crosses between accounts.
One searchable history
Messages synced into Connect join its full-text search and thread history, so decisions made in Slack stay findable next to the work they were about.
Installed in under a minute.
Add to Slack
Click the button and approve the permissions on Slack's standard consent screen for your workspace.
Invite the app to a channel
In Slack, invite the cazyweb app to the channel you want to link. The app only ever sees channels it is invited to.
Link it in Connect
Pick that Slack channel on a Connect channel and the sync starts. Messages appear on both sides within seconds.
Every scope, explained.
Slack shows you this list on the consent screen. Here is what each permission is actually for, in plain English.
chat:write, chat:write.customizePost synced messages and notifications, shown under the original author's name and avatar.
channels:history, groups:historyRead new messages in the channels you connect so they can appear in Connect. Nothing outside linked channels is read.
channels:read, groups:readList your channels so you can choose which one to link.
users:read, users:read.emailMatch Slack members to their Connect accounts by name and email so messages are attributed correctly.
files:readCarry file attachments across when a synced message includes one.
reactions:read, reactions:writeKeep emoji reactions consistent on both sides of a synced conversation.
Boring, by design.
The integration stores the minimum it needs to run and nothing it does not.
What we store
Your workspace's bot token, team name, the channel links you create, and the messages synced into Connect. That is the complete list.
What we never do
We never sell or share your data, and the app cannot read channels it has not been invited to. Data lives in your cazyweb workspace and nowhere else.
Leaving is instant
Remove the app from your Slack admin page and the token is revoked immediately. Email [email protected] and we delete any synced data on request.
The full details live in our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Before you install.
Anything else, or trouble installing? We answer fast.
Is the app free?
Yes. Installing and using the Slack integration is free. It is part of the cazyweb Connect platform used by our clients and partners.
Do I need to be a Slack admin?
That depends on your workspace settings. Many workspaces let any member install apps; others require an admin to approve the request, which Slack handles automatically.
Does it work on the free Slack plan?
Yes. The integration works on free and paid Slack plans alike.
What happens if I uninstall?
Sync stops immediately and the token is revoked by Slack. Messages already synced into Connect stay there unless you ask us to delete them.
