Name the actual collection behind an urgency claim in the announcement bar
The top bar names a specific, genuinely limited collection and links straight into it, instead of a generic sale banner that dumps the shopper on the homepage.

What it is
The site-wide announcement bar states a specific, named inventory-clearance collection rather than a generic sale claim, and its link goes directly to that filtered collection page instead of a general sale landing page the shopper has to search through.
Why it works
A shopper who has seen a hundred "sale ends soon" banners has learned to discount them, because most reset the next day with no real deadline behind them. Naming a specific, genuinely limited collection gives the claim something concrete to point to, and sending the click straight to that exact set of products, not a general sale page mixed with everything else, means the shopper does not have to verify the claim themselves by hunting for what is actually running low.
How to test it
- Hypothesis
- Naming a specific limited collection in the announcement bar and linking directly to it will lift clickthrough on the bar, because shoppers respond to a concrete, verifiable claim more than a generic sale message.
- Primary metric
- Clickthrough rate on the announcement bar
- Guardrail metric
- Return and exchange rate on purchases from that collection, which could rise if urgency pushes through purchases shoppers would have skipped with more time to consider fit
