Overlay a third-party press award directly on the product photo
A round award badge crediting a named outside publication sits on top of the product image in the homepage bestseller carousel, not tucked into a caption or a separate credibility page.

What it is
In the homepage bestseller carousel, one product carries a circular badge overlaid on its product photo, crediting a named outside publication's award for that specific item, visible at the same glance as the price and product name.
Why it works
A shopper has no reason to take a brand's own claim about its bestseller at face value, since every brand calls something its bestseller. A specific, named third party vouching for that exact product is a different kind of evidence because that publication has no stake in the sale, and putting the badge directly on the photo means the shopper sees the endorsement before they've decided whether to look closer, not after they've already scrolled past.
How to test it
- Hypothesis
- Overlaying a named third-party award badge on a bestseller's product photo will lift clickthrough to that product, because shoppers weigh an outside publication's endorsement more than the brand's own bestseller label.
- Primary metric
- Clickthrough rate on the badged product (carousel impressions)
- Guardrail metric
- Clickthrough rate on the carousel's other products, which could fall if attention concentrates on the one badged item
